Thursday, 15/03/2007

The meeting that was held this evening was very special.
Tonight we made a beautiful moment of reflection, through which we realize our part in prayer on peace.
20:15 pm
we all come together armed with pen and paper and in perfect uniform.
We go to church. The lights are turned off and the unit is the apse behind the cross, a soft light. The atmosphere is perfect.
We agree on final details, you should know that this week some were concerned to contact a number of scout groups in the world, while others have organized the time this evening.
Raffaella and I have found some thoughts on peace and we have chosen these four to be read tonight. Cate was looking for a step on the gospel of course the same argument, John has printed the text of a prayer that we sing together.

20:30 pm Official start time of reflection.
We all sit in a circle around three oil candle, Daniela armed with camera snaps several photos. John and Simone take the guitars and the moment we open with a song, "As the dawn will come" and the sign of the cross.

continue with the reading of thoughts on peace.

Catello read the chosen passage of the Gospel.
spoke then Don Pasquale (our Chaplain) saying
"peace is not only what is between two people when they are not at war, peace is something bigger to be born in us ".
After this catechesis is the most important moment of the whole evening.
With the help of some background music, we take a pen and paper and write what we called the heart. It was a beautiful moment, because the thoughts, feelings, the emotions he felt each of us have come to life on paper, printed in every word.
Our eyes were bent on leaves and occasionally rose up or dwell on the flames of candles.
Perhaps the suggestive atmosphere, perhaps for the beautiful background music, perhaps because of the many things that were said about peace, the words came out smoothly.
21:30 pm
Finally we finished the whole song by listening to the NEFF CHANGE ' .
Then we came back at a time to read the thoughts that we had written. Different, beautiful, original, fluids, but also true.

After a first reading, nor have we made a second to choose the most beautiful part of every thought and write it down. Collections
parts we divided the tasks: I
, Raffaella, Elena and John we will draw from these individual thoughts, the first part of prayer.
Simon, Cate and Mark continue the care of the blog on the Internet.
Claudia, Mauro, Philip, Nicholas and Marina will write a letter of undertaking, presented to groups of Campania and will continue to contact the foreign groups.
